Dr. Matt Jaquiery

Senior Research Software Engineer

Matt completed a DPhil in Experimental Psychology in 2022, investigating decision-making and advice-taking. He has a programming background in web development in the early 2000s, and has an academic background in English Literature, Neuroscience, and Cognitive Science.

Matt specialises in building web applications using a variety of frameworks, but will happily take on projects building data pipelines or in systems programming. He is one of the group's DevOps leads and frequently conducts detailed project appraisals.

Since joining the group in 2022, Matt projects have included (among others):

Petrushka, a web application for a clinical trial in psychiatry
data pipelines to support projects in geography and genomics
gaze detection using webcams for psychology experiments
a platform for sharing data from battery cycler experiments
a participant allocation platform
a bulk uploader for the FigShare data repository
a data integration tool for longitudinal data analysis
