Dr. Martin Robinson
Head of Oxford RSE Group
Martin is the head of Oxford Research Software Engineering and co-director of the Interdisciplinary Life and Environmental Science BBSRC and NERC Landscape Award. His research background is in numerical modelling, bayesian inference and software development. He has authored or contributed to several software projects including:
PINTS: (Probabilistic Inference on Noisy Time-Series) is a framework for optimisation and Bayesian inference.
PyBaMM: Enables efficient simulations of battery performance and aging, accelerating battery design and innovation.
Diffsol: a Rust library for solving ordinary differential equations (ODEs) or semi-explicit differential algebraic equations (DAEs).
Chaste: (Cancer, Heart and Soft Tissue Environment) is a simulation package aimed at computationally demanding problems arising in biology and physiology.
Aboria: a C++ library that enables computations over a set of particles or points in N-dimensional space, useful for implementing particle-based numerical algorithms.
