Laura Thomson

Research Software Engineer

Laura has significant commercial experience of application development in roles across the software lifecycle. This spans a broad range of domains: from IBM to the Financial Times, via the Food Standards Agency and a parcel start-up company. In 2019 she joined the University as a Scientific Software Developer in the Nuffield Department of Medicine. Having transferred to the OxRSE Group in 2025, she is looking forward to applying and developing her technical skills in new research settings.
