OpenBES: Simulate and monitor building energy requirements and usage.

OpenBES

OpenBES (Open Building Energy Simulation) is an engineering survey tool for estimating building energy requirements and usage, originally developed by Jesus Lizana of the Department of Engineering. Jesus and colleagues implemented the simulation tool as a complex Excel spreadsheet, and calibrated it against international standards for building energy simulation.
Jesus invited Oxford RSE to reimplement the tool in an open-source Python package, openbes, and to expose it to a wider audience by embedding it in a web interface.
